Haight Ashbury

This is San Francisco’s oldest official park, laid out in 1867 as Hill Park and later renamed. Walk slowly up the serpentine paths and look for the gravestones that peek from the gutters here and there. When San Francisco got too big for the dead most graves were moved to nearby Colma, but some went unclaimed. Go all the way up for a great view of the city.
