Grateful Dead House

The Grateful Dead’s communal house (c. 1965–1968) at the heart of San Francisco’s psychedelic scene, with Jerry Garcia and bandmates living and working here during the Haight’s peak.
On October 2, 1967, SFPD narcotics agents accompanied by TV crewsraided the house and arrested multiple residents, an emblematic Haight-Ashbury bust that captured national attention.
