St. Joseph's Hospital

This is the exterior of St. Joseph's hospital where Scottie Ferguson (James Stewart) recovers in Vertigo (1958). Interior scenes were filmed in a Paramount studio. Filming of this scene took particularly long because Hitchcock misliked the actor cast as the doctor, so Raymond Bailey had to be called in on short notice to replace him.
