Malloch bulding

Lauren Bacall as Irene lived in unit 10 of this Streamline Moderne apartment in Dark Passage (1947). Look carefully and you might see Humphrey Bogart looking out of one of the windows.

In France Streamline Moderne is known as "ocean liner style" being heavily influenced by the design of SS Normandie. The Malloch building shows this resemblance very clearly. It was designed by Irvin Goldstine and is decorated with plaster panels by Alfred Dupont depicting Explorers, Earth, and California.
