The free Haight Street Art Center (https://haightstreetart.org/) is a must-see if you have even the slightest interest in SF cultural history or posters. The exhibits change regularly, but artwork tends towards beautiful and diverse and the curator notes are more full of love and lore than the usual.
It's a SF experience you're sure to remember whether you spend 5 minutes there (run in, buy an original artwork from the vending machine, run out), half an hour (look through whatever the current exhibit is, they tend to be very good and very thorough), or three hours (examine every exhibit in-depth, read the labels, talk to the other patrons, browse the shop, rest in the window seat looking out over the garden).
Even if none of this appeals, still walk by on your way to the nearby POPOS and check out the silly pink bunny statue outside. It is neither silly nor pink, but it might haunt your dreams.
