This house is known primarily for its beautiful gates. Graham Nash - of Crosby, Stills & Nash - lived here and gutted the interior, installing a recording studio and a billiards parlor in the basement. In the early 1970s he commissioned an ornate ironwork gate from metalsmith E.A. Chase. Singer Bobby McFerrin, best known for "Don't Worry, Be Happy", caused great worry in the neighborhood by sending the gates away for refurbishment, and made everyone very happy by re-installing them.
